THE ACQUISITION OF BRAND NEW TOYOTA HIACE DLX

Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, has procured a brand new Toyota Hiace Bus DLX with a sitting capacity of 15 persons for the Eye Unit.

Rev. Mavis Hannah Yeboah, Chaplain of Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, led Management and some members of staff to dedicate the luxurious bus to the glory of God. A brief but well attended ceremony was held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the hospital durbar grounds.

The authorities at the Eye Clinic and the Driver of the bus were admonished on the need for compliance with laid-down maintenance schedule for the sake of longevity of the engine.

The Ophthalmologist in charge, Dr. Kennedy Opoku, indicated that the purpose of the procurement of the bus was to improve service delivery and position the Eye Clinic to undertake vigorous outreach programmes.

Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa, the General Manager of the Asante Akyem Area Health Service expressed appreciation to the Almighty God and to Fidelity Bank for granting the Eye Clinic about 63% of the cost of the vehicle as a credit facility to procure the luxurious bus.

He added that the hospital has entered into an agreement with the Himilayan Cataract Project (HCP) to strengthen the outreach program for Cataract operations and so acquisition of the bus was a step in the right direction.

 

Mr. Joseph Bona, a businessman at Konongo Asante Akyem Central has donated assorted items worth Hundreds of Ghana

Cedis to the Children’s Ward on Wednesday March 15, 2017. Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, Ms. Evelyn Hennor,

Nursing Administrator thanked him for the kind gesture and encourage others to support the Ward and the Hospital as a whole.

 

SEND-OFF CEREMONY FOR MS. EVELYN HENNOR-RETIRED NURSING ADMINISTRATOR

A colourful send-off ceremony was organized at the new auditorium of the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College (PNMTC), Agogo on Friday, February 23, 2018, in honour of Ms. Evelyn Hennor had served the hospital in various capacities for forty (40) years:  the second (2nd) Deputy Nursing Administrator, Focal Person, Quality Assurance Team, In Service Training Coordinator and finally the Nursing Administrator of Agogo Hospital.

The memorable event was highly attended by the Management and staff of the hospital as well as family and friends of Ms. Evelyn Hennor.

The General Manager in his address, expressed appreciation to Ms. Hennor for dedicating most of her productive years to the hospital and the Presbyterian Health Service at large and wished her well on behalf of all members of staff.
